A few months ago came word that Hanna-Barbera’s late 1960s furry kid series favorites from “The Banana Splits Adventure Hour” would return in a new meta horror thriller feature from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Now, the project’s first trailer has been released.

The story follows a boy named Harley (Finlay Wojtak-Hissong) who celebrates his birthday by attending a taping of the Banana Splits TV show with his family. Things take an unexpected turn – and the body count quickly rises. Can Harley, his mom and their new pals safely escape?

Dani Kind plays the mom while Sara Canning stars as the show’s producer, along with Romeo Carere and Steve Lund as Harley’s brother and father respectively. Jed Elinoff & Scott Thomas penned the script while Danishka Esterhazy helms.

The project will premiere on Syfy later this year followed quickly by a disc and digital release.
