Disney's Live-Action Snow White Remake Eyes Marc Webb To Direct

“The Amazing Spider-Man” helmer Marc Webb is reportedly in talks to direct the live-action adaptation of Disney’s “Snow White. No deal has yet been finalized.

Based on the Brothers Grimm fairytale, the 1937 original animated movie followed princess Snow White as she is exiled into the dangerous forest by her wicked stepmother and is rescued by seven dwarf miners who make her part of their household.

The original story has been adapted multiple times over the years with recent takes including the Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart, and Chris Hemsworth-led “Snow White and the Huntsman” and its sequel along with “Mirror Mirror” with Julia Roberts and Armie Hammer.

Erin Cressida Wilson (“The Girl on the Train”) is in talks to write the script for the live-action remake, which will expand upon the story and music from the animated classic. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land”) will write new songs for the movie and Marc Platt will serve as producer.
