Black Widow Set Photos May Have Revealed Florence Pugh's Marvel Character

Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow” project is currently filming in London with Scarlett Johansson joined by the likes of David Harbor, Rachel Weisz and Ray Winstone in the film.

Outside of the lead actress herself though, the biggest role seems to be the one that “Fighting with my Family” and “Lady Macbeth” actress Florence Pugh is taking on, though specifics of her role have been kept top secret.

That may have changed today as new photos from the set of the project seem to show off stunt doubles for Pugh and Johansson filming scenes involving a motorbike chase.

One of the photos has two heavy crates being wheeled in on set. One is labelled ‘Natasha’ for Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff character. The other for Pugh has the label ‘Yelena’ on it.

That name very likely refers to Yelena Belova, the second individual to adopt the Black Widow title in the comics. In said comics, she underwent the same KGB spy training regime as Natasha and while they started out foes, ultimately they became allies.

Pugh will next be seen in next month’s “Midsommar”. Marvel Studios is scheduled to appear at San Diego Comic-Con this July and is highly likely to offer more details about “Black Widow” there.
