Fans are excited for the new Bill & Ted film, Bill & Ted Face The Music, well there is some exciting news for you that comes strait from director Steven Soderbergh, who is a producer on the movie.

Bill and Ted 3 featuring the titular duo Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter might finally get a Christmas 2019 release, the film has been in the works for years. During a Q&A session at the Slamdance film festival, while promoting his new movie High Flying Bird, Soderbergh revealed that Bill and Ted Face the Music could be released by Christmas 2019.

“That’d be a good Christmas present,” Soderbergh told CNET when asked about a release date."
We don’t know for sure if that will happen, but it sounds like that’s what the creative team is shooting for.

The movie is set to be directed by Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot from a script written by the original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Franchise stars Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves are both coming back to reprise their roles as Bill S. Preston and Ted 'Theodore' Logan. The film’s story will pick up years after the original series with Bill S. Preston and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan showcased as middle-aged men with families. No other cast members have been confirmed at this time.

The Bill and Ted franchise began with 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and continued in 1991’s Bill &Ted’s Bogus Journey. The production work on Bill and Ted 3 was supposed to begin in January, but there’s still no information as far as cameras rolling.

I for one think it would be a most excellent christmas gift, are you exited for Bill and Ted Face the Music? Let us know in the comments.
